Purpose of the Grant
The La Crosse Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (LDCCW), in partnership with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW), has as its mission to “to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service. NCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world.” This grant is open to organizations that provide direct services to victims of sex trafficking including, but not limited to, shelter, food, medical care, legal aid, access to justice, and psychosocial support. It will also provide funds to organizations that raise public awareness of human trafficking.

Catholic Schools Grant (previously known as Books for Kids) (not to exceed $200)

This grant provides funds to Catholic schools to purchase non-consumable supplies for Catholic school children in grades kindergarten through fifth. Although it is no longer specifically for books, it can still be used for books. Only one grant per school may be submitted. Examples of appropriate non-consumable items include: Bibles, books (for children or the classroom), globes, learning posters, maps, dry erase board, puzzles and games, etc.)

Adventure Camp provides an experience for young people to engage in their faith in ways they never imagined. Funds are paid to the Diocese of La Crosse, Office of Youth Ministry. CAMP GRAY is located in Reedsburg, Wisconsin and is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Madison. Camp Gray is a co-ed, overnight Summer Camp offering programs for campers ranging from 2nd through 12th grade. For more information about the camp visit www.campgray.com.
